The Valley With No Name
Once the valley had a name people sang like a song. Then the mist came over the mountain pass and one morning the name was gone — along with the road to the main road and the faces of everyone who knew it.
three chapters from the valley
Once the valley had a name people sang like a song. Then the mist came over the mountain pass and one morning the name was gone — along with the road to the main road and the faces of everyone who knew it.
You wake at the edge of the valley with a lantern already burning beside you. It needs no oil and never goes out. A bell rings once inside the mist — and the lantern leans toward it, as if it knows the way.
The mist is not weather. It is what the valley holds in place of its name: memories, words, small losses. Carry the light far enough and the world begins to remember you — every stone, every door, every quiet friend.
three moods, one valley
Zone 1
where the game begins
Soft light, tall grass, and the first hidden corners. The lantern burns brightest here, before the world gets strange.
Zone 2
a building full of drowned echoes
Water remembers everything. Puzzles here are slower and darker, every step answered from somewhere below.
Zone 3
where the story opens up
Broken arches over a valley that refuses to be forgotten. The truth the mist hides is buried here — if you dare to dig.
who you meet along the way
hero
Woke up with a lantern, no memory, and a long road ahead. Quietly curious about everything.
guide
Lives at the edge of the valley, speaks in riddles, and remembers more than she lets on.
guardian
Mossy guardian of the old paths. Not hostile — just very, very particular.
light
Neither a person nor quite a fire. It only shows the way once you stop rushing.
a few things we care about
No timers, no rush. The valley rewards those who stop and look around.
Every platform, tree, and ruin was placed by hand. Nothing here is random.
Secret rooms, hidden paths, and quiet surprises for curious explorers.
No walls of text. The world tells its story as you walk through it.
the trail to version 1.0
Core movement, Mistvale's opening section, and the lantern mechanic.
Darker lighting, puzzle blocks, and the first echo of the old story.
Long jumps, patient enemies, and the truth waiting under the arches.
questions actually asked
Not yet! We're still building the valley. Right now you can explore the first zone and collect memory sparks, but there's more coming with each update.
The early build is free while we work on it. When it's done, we'll set a fair price — probably around $10-15. Early supporters might get a discount.
Yes! We're adding new zones, puzzles, and secrets every few months. Check the roadmap above to see what's coming next.
Not right now. The game works best with a keyboard and mouse. We might look into a mobile version later, but no promises yet.
